This was a little better than the last book. The two main characters were the main focus of the story and the others were what they should be: support. It was a little interesting living a day in the life of the "other" town folk and in the hills. It didn't exactly scream romance to me though. It didn't do anything for the mood; it somewhat killed it. The author's writing was similar to the first two books. I hope the next one is on the same path.
